About the deck
Bicycle Seconds Playing Cards are factory seconds produced by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC). They may have minor printing imperfections, such as slightly off-centre designs.
This factory-sealed deck is difficult to date precisely, but the style and print quality of the tuck box suggest it dates from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. Earlier versions of the Seconds tuck box featured the same design but also included the “Windsor, Canada – London, ENG” address (as shown here), which closed in 1989. The tuck box bears a blue seal, and the cards were printed at the original Cincinnati, Ohio factory.
Mid-1980s to Mid-1990s (The Solid Red Era): USPCC introduced the distinct, bright solid red cellophane tear tape running horizontally across the cellophane.
