About the deck
Directly from the hands of Jay Sankey, The Spectacle Deck is a signature deck of cards meant to incapsulate the unique, ever-fooling, and unforgettable magic style of Canada's own Jay Sankey. Featuring built in magic tricks, markings, and more!
The deck is made up of a series of HAND DRAWN sketches by Jay Sankey himself. Jay's illustrations are at the pinnacle of the design. The deck was designed in collaboration with Graphic Designer Nick Nisco (Elemental Playing Cards) and Magician/Internet personality Kier Gomes (Slowhands) who are Jay's self-proclaimed biggest fans. The trio spent months working together on creating a design that works for performing magicians, gameplay, and collecting. The flourishes look pretty sweet too!
The back design features a series of hand-drawn glasses that were illustrated by Jay Sankey that make up a nice whacky and corky pattern which suits Jay's style and personality. The design also features the Spectacle Logo and a brilliant marking system designed by Nick Nisco. This is a 2-way back design which is optimal for those who love to get messy with their cards or let the spectator shuffle without compromising the orientation. As well the shade of blue used is similar to the original blue Bicycle Rider Back.
